Imjin War general and Commander of the Three Southern Navies (pen name Maeheon)

Life & career

Jeong Gi-ryong, with courtesy name Gyeongun and pen name Maeheon, is listed under Jinyang (Jinju). In the Imjin War he fought at Geochang and Geumsan, retook Sangju fortress as its magistrate, and is said to have helped recapture other fortresses in the second invasion. He became Commander of the Three Southern Navies in 1610 and died at his Tongyeong post in 1622. His posthumous title was Chungui.
