The Janggi Jeong clan (長鬐 鄭氏) has its seat in Janggi-myeon, Pohang, North Gyeongsang. Its founder Jeong Ja-yeo (鄭子與) is said to have passed the civil examination under King Hyeonjong of Goryeo, held titles such as Chuchung Jinguk Merit Subject, Eungcheong Gwangnok Daebu and Munha Sirang Pyeongjangsa, and been made Count of Janggi with a fief. The clan is known as a line that split off from the Yeongil Jeong clan.
The 2015 census counted 4,705 people. The 11th-generation Jeong Se-yeong (鄭世榮) is said to have moved to Jeongsong-ri, Suwon (now Jeongnam-myeon, Hwaseong).
In Goryeo, the founder's son Jeong Geuk-gyeom is said to have served as Academician, his grandson Jang Hui-gyeong as Sungeomsa, and the 7th-generation Jeong Cheon-ryong as Director of Bomun Pavilion. After the founding of Joseon, some members are said to have kept their loyalty and declined office. In modern times the educator and Korean linguist Jeong Yeol-mo is known to have come from this clan.
