The Yeongam Park clan (靈巖 朴氏) takes Yeongam, South Jeolla, as its seat. Wikipedia names Park Hang (朴恒) as founder, describing him as a descendant of King Gyeongmyeong of Silla who served as a Goryeo Left Chief Councillor and was enfeoffed in Yeongam for merit. Namuwiki calls him a tenth-generation descendant of Prince Milseong Park Eon-chim and adds that the clan did not split off from the Miryang Park. Details of how the seat was adopted were not found in public sources.
Wikipedia gives 7,255 for 2015; Namuwiki gives 1,954 households and 6,120 people for 2000. No specific home regions were found in public sources.
Namuwiki records one civil and twelve military examination graduates in Joseon. Besides Park Hang, its listed notables are Park Geon-ju (19th) and Park Hwan-ju (28th), mayors of Chuncheon, but as politicians they have no person card here. No documented branches or branch founders were found, so no branch cards are given.
The Yeongam Park is said to descend from the Gyeongmyeong line, and some accounts link it to Prince Milseong Park Eon-chim. The eight-princes account is a tradition in Park genealogies and not accepted by every seat. Other Park seats such as the Hamyang Park also live in Yeongam, so take care not to confuse them. The clan association and generation names were not found in public sources.
The 영암 박씨 clan association can be found in the Korean E-Jokbo Library clan-association directory.
