The Buwongun branch descends from Sin On (辛蘊), Prince Yeongwol (寧越府院君). He was the third son of Sin Ji-hwa (辛至和), of the 8th generation of the Yeongsan Sin clan, and his descendants took Yeongwol as their seat, forming the Yeongwol Sin clan.
Notable descendants include Sin Jung-seok (辛仲碩), who served as Chancellor (munha sijung); the brothers Sin Yun-mun and Sin Yun-mu, merit subjects of the 1506 Jungjong restoration made Prince Yeongwol and Prince Yeongcheon; Sin Eung-si (辛應時), Deputy Director of the Hongmungwan; and his son Sin Gyeong-jin (辛慶晉), Inspector-General and an honored incorruptible official.
The Panseo-gong branch descends from Sin Han, fourth son of Sin Ji-hwa of the 8th generation of the Yeongsan Sin clan, who served as Minister of Personnel (ibu panseo). Together with the Buwongun branch it took Yeongwol as its seat, forming the Yeongwol Sin clan.
Recorded descendants include Sin Bi, who passed the examination under King Chungsuk and was made Prince Naeseong; Sin Geo, who passed under King Chunghye and rose to Associate Chancellor; and Sin Bo-an (辛保安), seventh-generation descendant of Sin Han, who served under King Sejong as director of the Office of Construction and magistrate of Gwangju.
