Jeon Bin (全賓) is traditionally regarded as the founder of the Pyeonggang Jeon clan (平康 全氏). Wikipedia says he served as Jeongeon and Magistrate of Sukcheon under Goryeo, and after Joseon was founded became Grand Academician of Bomungak and was enfeoffed as Earl of Pyeonggang (平康伯).
Another source (a Segye Ilbo surname series) calls him a 14th-generation descendant of Jeon I-gap of the Jeongseon Jeon clan, and says he served as Grand Academician of Bomungak in late Goryeo but withdrew into the mountains to keep his loyalty when Goryeo fell. The two accounts differ (serving Joseon versus retiring), as do his dates, so check the genealogy.
Jeon Bin is regarded as the founder of the Pyeonggang Jeon, which branched from the Jeongseon Jeon. The original ancestor is Jeon Seop, a founding meritorious subject of Baekje, and the line passes through Jeon I-gap, a founding subject of Goryeo. See the Jeongseon Jeon and Pyeonggang Jeon pages for the branching.
The Wikipedia-style account has him serve as Jeongeon and Magistrate of Sukcheon in Goryeo and then become Bomungak Grand Academician and Earl of Pyeonggang in Joseon; the other has him serve as Bomungak Grand Academician in late Goryeo and then retire when Goryeo fell. Which is correct, and the year he passed the examination, could not be confirmed from primary sources here.
His burial place could not be confirmed.
A fifth-generation descendant, Jeon Yu-hyeong, is known as a righteous army figure of the Imjin War.
