Jeong Yong-hu was a Republic of Korea Air Force general from Paju, Gyeonggi-do. He held major posts including commander of an Air Force fighter wing, director of intelligence (J-2) at the ROK-US Combined Forces Command, and director of personnel at Air Force Headquarters.
In 1989 he took office as the 19th Chief of Staff of the Republic of Korea Air Force and commanded the Air Force. His clan lineage is the Naegeupsagong branch of the Chogye Jeong clan.
