Life & career
Jeong Yong-hu, born in Paju, Gyeonggi-do, was a general of the Republic of Korea Air Force who held key posts including fighter wing commander, intelligence chief of staff at the ROK-US Combined Forces Command, and personnel chief of staff at Air Force Headquarters.
He became the 19th Air Force Chief of Staff in 1989. He belonged to the Naegeupsagong branch of the Chogye Jeong clan. After retiring as a four-star general (equivalent), he died of a heart attack on May 24, 2004, at age 69.
