Life & career

Kim Yeo-ryeon, of Wanju, passed the 1588 civil examination and rose to Hallim. He is said to have died at Uiju while accompanying King Seonjo in flight during the Imjin War. Records say he was posthumously made Chief State Councillor and given a posthumous title in 1788; sources differ on the name (Seoam, Jangui), so this is uncertain.
