Park Hong-gu (朴弘耉, 1552-1624), a Juksan Park, was a late-Joseon official with the courtesy name Eungso and pen name Iho. He passed the jinsa exam in 1576 and the civil examination in 1582 with top grade, serving as remonstrance official, Hongmungwan proofreader, royal secretary and governor of Chungcheong and Jeolla. Under Gwanghaegun he held posts such as Inspector-General and several ministries, and rose through Right to Left State Councillor, counted among the leaders of the Northerner faction.
After the 1623 Restoration he was branded a follower of Yi I-cheom and Jeong In-hong, dismissed and exiled, and executed in 1624 during Yi Gwal's rebellion. His name was cleared under Sukjong but the decision was reversed more than once, and he was finally rehabilitated in 1908.
