Park Yu-myeong (朴惟明, 1582-1640) was a Joseon military officer of the Sangju Park, courtesy name Hyeongbu, son of Park Pil-ha. Since the available article is a short stub, details about his mother, spouse and children are not known, and his pen name and posthumous title are not recorded; his princely title is given as Prince Sangwon.
He passed the military examination in 1620 under Gwanghaegun and took part in the 1623 Injo Restoration, in which Westerners faction leaders deposed Gwanghaegun and enthroned Injo. For this he was named a third-class Jeongsa merit subject and enfeoffed as Prince Sangwon.
He then served as senior royal courier (Dangsang Seonjeongwan) and as commander of a Five Guards regiment (Owijang), posts suggesting he was trusted with palace guard and military duties. Some sources add a posthumous appointment as Minister of Works, which could not be confirmed elsewhere. He died in 1640.
For taking part in the 1623 Restoration he was named a third-class Jeongsa merit subject and made Prince Sangwon.
His tomb location was not confirmed in this survey.
