Park Yu is said to have moved from Gaeseong to Gwangsi-myeon, Yesan, South Chungcheong, around the founding of Joseon and lived in seclusion, praised as one of the 72 Sages of Dumun-dong. Wikipedia does not state his genealogical relation to the founder Park Yun-ung.
His daughter-in-law of the Hyeonpung Kwak clan kept caring for him after her husband's death and was recognized as a filial wife in 1431 (King Sejong's 13th year); a memorial stele stands at Eunsa-ri, Yesan. His characters and life dates are not well confirmed in public sources.
