Ryu Bok-gi (pen name Gibong), eldest son of Ryu Seong who settled the Andong Sugok branch, is said to have served in the righteous armies in the Imjin and Jeongyu wars together with five young sons. The Sugok branch of Andong is known to have spread from his six sons.
