Chungjeong-gong line (忠貞公系)

The Chungjeong-gong line takes as its founding ancestor Lim Eon-su (林彦脩), enfeoffed in late Goryeo as Prince Pyeongseong (Pyeongseong Buwongun). He received this title when his son Lim Gyeon-mi (林堅味) rose to chancellor (munha sijung), and the line is also called the Paengseong Lim.

Lim Hyeong-su (林亨秀), a sixth-generation descendant of Lim Gyeon-mi's elder brother Lim Seong-mi (林成味), passed the civil service examination in 1535 and became deputy director of the Office of Special Counselors, but during the literati purge of 1545 he was demoted to magistrate of Jeju and then dismissed.

Jeongaengnyeong-gong line (典客令公系)

The Jeongaengnyeong-gong line takes as its founding ancestor Lim Se-chun (林世春), who served in late Goryeo as director of guest affairs in the crown prince's household and deputy commissioner of Yeonhui Palace; it is also called the Pyeongseong Lim. The Joseon ssijok tongbo records Lim Eon-su, Prince Pyeongseong, as his great-grandfather.

Lim Se-chun's great-grandson Lim Jeong (林整) became minister of punishments under King Taejong and received the posthumous name Gonghye (恭惠). His seventh-generation descendant was General Lim Gyeong-eop (林慶業), posthumous name Chungmin (忠愍), known for his pro-Ming, anti-Qing stance around the Manchu invasions.
