Life & career

Bak Chun-seong (1906–1945) planned to embezzle funds from a local financial cooperative in Jinju and send them to Manchuria as independence movement funds. He reportedly took about 7,000 won and sought to remit 4,000 won to Manchuria for military funds, working with an associate named Jang Du-hwan. He died in September 1945, shortly after Korea's liberation.
