Life & career

Gim Seok (金錫) is the founding ancestor of the Uiseong Gim clan. He is said to have been a son of King Gyeongsun (敬順王), the last king of Silla; in the early Goryeo period he was enfeoffed as Lord of Uiseong (義城君), and his descendants took Uiseong as their ancestral seat.
