Righteous-army leader of Ulsan in the Imjin War; his sword is an Ulsan cultural heritage item

Park Hong-chun (朴弘春, 1537-1601) is introduced in Wikipedia's entry on the Park Hong-chun sword as a righteous-army leader of the Imjin War from Ulsan, of the Ulsan Park clan. The sword and scabbard he used were handed down in the family until a descendant donated them to the Ulsan Museum in August 2010 together with the Bubuk Ilgi, and on 16 August 2013 they were designated Ulsan Tangible Cultural Heritage No. 29.
A mid-Joseon hwando, it is slightly larger than usual, complete apart from the missing cord used for wearing it, with only wear and oxidation from use. It is valued for showing changes in swords after the Imjin War and as a sword made and used in Left Gyeongsang whose owner's name is known.
The dates and scale of his militia activity and the battles he fought could not be confirmed in the public sources this site found. A search found his name and dates nowhere outside Wikipedia's sword entry, so his activity is not described and the entry is limited to the relic. He is a different man from the Ulsan Park Park Hong (1534-1593), who was active in the same period.
Held by the Ulsan Museum, the sword and scabbard became Ulsan Tangible Cultural Heritage No. 29 in 2013. The photo among this page's clan images shows the relic, not a portrait.
