Sin Bu (?-1360) was a late-Goryeo official of the Yeongsan Sin clan. His great-grandfather was Sin Ji-hwa, his grandfather Sin Hyeok (Dodocheomuichanseongsa), and his father Sin Won-gyeong, who was posthumously raised to Dochecheomui Jwajeongseung and Prince Yeongsan. His elder brother Sin Ye became Prince Chwiseong, and his younger brothers are given as Sin Sun, Sin Gwi and Sin Don. His wife was the fifth daughter of Han Jong-yu.
How he entered office and his early career are not recorded. In 1355 he was enfeoffed as Prince Chwisan (Chwisan-gun) and later appointed Pangaeseongbusa.
On the 15th of the second month of 1360 he was killed at Hamjong while fighting the Red Turban rebels alongside the general Yi Gyeon; the Goryeo army is said to have won that battle. The Goryeosa (Gongminwang sega, Anu jeon) and the Ssijok wollyu support these facts.
His elder son Sin Yu-hyeon served as a regional military commissioner and died in 1411; his younger son Sin Yu-jeong (1353-1426) became an early-Joseon general posthumously titled Mujeol. Where his brother Sin Ye is remembered for power in the Jeongbang and Sin Don for reform and downfall, Sin Bu is remembered as an official who died in battle.
In February 1360 Sin Bu died at Hamjong with General Yi Gyeon; the battle itself is said to have been a Goryeo victory.
His second son Sin Yu-jeong was an early-Joseon general. See also his brothers Sin Ye and Sin Don.
His tomb was not confirmed in these sources.
Sons Sin Yu-hyeon (d. 1411) and Sin Yu-jeong (1353-1426); many Joseon-era figures are said to descend from Yu-jeong.
