Song Geo-sin (宋居信, 1369-1447) was an early-Joseon military official and merit subject, son of the late-Goryeo minister Song Cheom. Related by marriage to Queen Wongyeong, consort of King Taejong, he enjoyed the favor of Yi Bang-won (the future Taejong) even before his accession. While serving as a junior officer on a hunt, he is said to have beaten to death a leopard that leapt at Yi Bang-won, saving his life; in 1401 he was enrolled as a fourth-rank Jwamyeong merit subject.
He went on to hold military posts such as commander of the Right Army, was enfeoffed as Lord Yeoryang in 1406, elevated to Prince Yeosan in 1426, and honored with a royal armrest and staff in 1439. His posthumous name is Chungjeong. His career shows how closely the clan was tied to Taejong's royal house in the early Joseon period.
