Yun Bok (1512-1577) was an early Joseon civil official of the Haenam Yun clan, courtesy name Wollye and pen names Seongmun and Haengdang. His grandfather was Yun Gyeong and his father the licentiate Yun Hyo-jeong. The Encyclopedia of Korean Culture lists him as having served as magistrate of Hansan, governor of Gwangju and Andong governor.
He became a licentiate in 1534 and passed the special civil examination in 1538. As magistrate of Buan in 1547 he is said to have worked hard on relief for the starving, and as magistrate of Nagan in 1552 he repaired the walls and weapons when pirates were sacking nearby fortresses. In 1565 he governed Andong and is said to have befriended Yi Hwang of Yean.
In 1573 he served as a royal secretary and then as Chungcheong governor, and he also held posts such as Seongonggam Bujeong. His writings are the Haengdang Seonsaeng Yugo. One source calls Yun Ik (Hancheon Cheosa) his grandson, indirectly confirming that line within the Haenam Yun descent from Yun Hyo-jeong. A stele for him stands in Gangjin and is listed with the clan's heritage on Wikipedia. Read with his brother Yun Gu and father Yun Hyo-jeong.
The Encyclopedia of Korean Culture mentions his famine relief in Buan and defensive repairs in Nagan; precise dates follow that entry.
He is said to have befriended Yi Hwang of Yean in Andong in 1565. See also the Haenam Yun page.
A spirit-way stele is said to stand in Gangjin; the tomb location was not confirmed.
