Yun Haeng-im (尹行恁, 1762-1801) was an official who rose under Jeongjo; his pen name was Seokjae and his seat is Namwon. Wikipedia's Namwon Yun entry lists him as Minister of Personnel and Director of both Academies, and he is also counted among prominent figures of the Sipa faction. He was the father of Yun Jeong-hyeon. His dates are given here from general sources and could not be checked directly on Wikipedia.
A scholarly article by Roh Dae-hwan evaluates him as a representative product of Jeongjo's policy of training talent. He passed the examination at twenty, was chosen for the Chogye royal scholar program the next year, and served as an assistant at the Gyujanggak and deputy official of the Border Defense Council. After Jeongjo's death the Byeokpa government appointed him chief royal secretary, but conflict deepened over policy toward Catholicism and the punishment of Prince Eunean and Hong Nak-im, and the relationship broke.
In scholarship, several studies say he continued the Horon school of Han Won-jin, upheld the theory that human and animal natures differ, and criticized the Lu-Wang school. Another study discusses the Samul Youi he wrote while in exile on Sinjido. He is known to have died in the political turmoil of 1801, but the details were not confirmed here. His collected writings, including the Sinho Susil, are subjects of academic study.
The Chogye system was Jeongjo's program of selecting young officials for further training at the Gyujanggak. That Yun Haeng-im passed at twenty and was chosen the next year shows him as a young official favored by Jeongjo. The exact years were not seen in the article abstract.
