Yoon Sang-hyun is a politician of the Republic of Korea who earned a master's degree in diplomacy from Georgetown University and a doctorate in international politics from George Washington University. He entered politics after serving as a visiting professor at Seoul National University, among other posts.
Since being elected to the 18th National Assembly from a district in Incheon, he has been re-elected over several terms, serving as a many-term assembly member. He has been active in the conservative parties running from the Grand National Party to the Saenuri Party, the Liberty Korea Party, and the People Power Party.
He held key party and government posts, serving as secretary-general of the Saenuri Party and as special adviser for political affairs to the presidential office.
