The Dalseong Seo clan (達城 徐氏) has its ancestral seat in Dalseong, Daegu. Its founder Seo Jin (徐晉) is said to have served as Bongikdaebu Pandopanseo in the Goryeo period; based in Dalseong, his descendants took it as their ancestral seat. It is a representative surname of the Daegu region.
The Dalseong Seo clan is a distinguished house that produced several State Councillors and civil officials during the Joseon period, known especially as a family of three successive State Councillors running from Seo Jong-tae to Seo Myeong-gyun to Seo Ji-su.
