Life & career

An Ik-tae (安益泰, 1906–1965) was the composer and conductor who composed the South Korean national anthem (Aegukga).

Pro-Japanese activities Owing to conduct during his stay in Europe after 1938, such as composing and conducting the Japanese court music "Etenraku" (越天樂) and a celebratory piece for the 10th anniversary of the founding of Manchukuo, he was included in the Dictionary of Pro-Japanese Collaborators (Chinil Inmyeong Sajeon) compiled by the Institute for Research in Collaborationist Activities.
