Bae Chung-gwa (裵忠果) is the figure venerated as the middle progenitor (jungsijo) of the Gyeongju Bae clan. Well versed in medicine during the reign of King Jungjong of Joseon, he was appointed as a Uiseo seupdokgwan (醫書習讀官, medical-text reading official), and was granted the sobriquet Gyeongju Cheosa (慶州處士).
He is the ancestor who serves as the reference point for the lineage continuing after the founding ancestor Bae Hyeon-gyeong, and his descendants have maintained their genealogy centering on him.
