In 1270 he is said to have enthroned Prince Seunghwa-hu On and based the movement at Yongjang Fortress on Jindo, resisting the Mongols and the Goryeo court, and to have fallen at the decisive battle at Gulpo-ri in 1271.
Namu Wiki lists him under the Dalseong Bae clan, but his seat and lineage may be disputed.
