Bae Sa-won (pen name Huiam) is said to have passed the civil examination in 1466 and risen to Chief Censor, and to have been posthumously made Minister of Military Affairs for helping suppress Yi Si-ae's rebellion in 1467. He may be connected with the Panseo-gong line, but whether he was a branch founder could not be confirmed.
