Bae Jeong-ji (裵廷芝, 1259-1322) was a late-Goryeo military official presented as the restorer of the Dalseong Bae family. He is said to have entered the royal guard at ten and escorted King Wonjong in 1270, and to have been promoted to Jungnangjang under King Chungryeol for defeating enemy forces.
He reportedly rose to Deputy Director of the Privy Council after suppressing a revolt on Tamna in 1318, and was exiled and later released in 1321 over a prison case. His sons Bae Seong-gyeong, Bae Cheon-gyeong and Bae Ham-gyeong are said to have formed the family's core, and his descendants divided into several branches.
