Park Byeong-su (1900–1962), from Wonjeong, Oeseo-myeon, Changwon (now Namseong-dong, Masanhappo-gu), took part in the March 1st Movement in Dongnae in 1919 and was sentenced to a year in prison in 1920 for distributing letters denouncing the Japanese emperor and calling for the restoration of the Korean royal house.
In December 1920 he organized the secret society Yongjindan in Masan with Jeon Jae-wan, Yi Jeong-mun and Kim Eung-yun, serving as treasurer to raise funds and support overseas independence organizations. In 1921 he was arrested and sentenced to a year in prison for distributing leaflets in Changwon announcing the Korean Independence Army's victory at Cheongsanri.
After his release he farmed in Yangsan; after liberation he served as a delegate of the Korea Independence Party in 1948 and briefly as acting governor of South Gyeongsang Province in 1953.
