Kim Su-dong (1885-1910) joined the righteous army (uibyeong) led by Yi Gang-nyeon in September 1907 and was active in the Mungyeong, Danyang, Yeongcheon and Yeongwol areas, tasked with raising military funds and supplies.
He later joined the unit of Choe Seong-cheon, which was based around Mt. Sobaek and broke through Japanese encirclement in the mountains up until just before Korea's annexation, also taking part in executing collaborator informants. Tried at the Daegu District Court in 1910 — where he was recorded as 26 years old, confirming his 1885 birth year — he was sentenced to death by hanging and died for his country.
