Guk Yu (鞠襦), pen name Bokae, is presented as the 9th generation of the Damyang Guk clan and a late Goryeo official. Wikipedia says he served as Minister of Revenue and Panuigeum. He is said to have helped Choe Yeong's expedition to Tamna (Jeju) and put down a revolt at Gokju under King Gongmin; these details were not verified elsewhere.
When Goryeo fell he is said to have withdrawn to Dumun-dong and kept his loyalty, and Yi Seong-gye honoured it by appointing his descendants to posts in Damyang. Whether his name appears in the list of the seventy-two worthies of Dumun-dong was not confirmed. It is best read as one of the loyalty traditions of the clan.
His dates and tomb are unconfirmed. His forebears, the 7th Guk Dam (Grand Academician) and 8th Guk Ryang (Minister of Military Affairs), are in Wikipedia's genealogy.
He is said to have withdrawn to Dumun-dong when Goryeo fell, and Yi Seong-gye to have appointed his descendants to local posts; this is tradition, not proven fact.
He is the 9th generation after the founder Guk Ju.
