Grand Prince Hyoryeong (Yi Bo, 李補) was the second son of King Taejong and the elder brother of King Sejong. He is said to have stepped aside so that his younger brother could take the throne.
A devout Buddhist, he supported temple restorations and sutra publications, and lived past ninety as a respected elder from Sejong's reign to Seongjong's. His descendants flourished, and the Hyoryeong-daegun branch is counted as the largest branch of the Jeonju Yi clan.
