Yi Eon-gang (李彦綱, 1892–1948) was born in Yangdong-ri, Gangdong-myeon, Gyeongju, North Gyeongsang Province, to a mother of the Miryang Park clan, and worked in farming before joining the independence movement. After the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea was established in Shanghai following the 1919 March First Movement, he became active in raising funds for it.
On December 28, 1919, he arranged to sell 100 seok of rice at the Gimcheon Inn in Dongnae, Busan, planning to deliver the proceeds to the Provisional Government on January 9, 1920, but the plan was discovered and he was arrested. He was posthumously awarded a Presidential Citation in 2020.
