Lee Gang-won was a notable figure in North Jeolla Province during the Korean Empire and Japanese colonial period who served as a councillor of the Government-General's Central Council under the Japanese name Tōen Yasumoto. He was listed under the Central Council category in the 2002 list of 708 pro-Japanese collaborators, the 2008 planned list for the Dictionary of Pro-Japanese Collaborators, and the 2009 government list of 705 pro-Japanese collaborators.
