Yi Geun-sang (1874–1920), from Hanseong, was the younger brother of Yi Geun-taek, one of the 'Five Eulsa Traitors.' Starting as a military bureau official in 1895, he held several provincial governorships, served as envoy to Italy and acting Minister of Agriculture, Commerce and Industry, and became Minister of the Royal Household in 1906, largely owing his career to his brother's influence.
For his role in the 1910 annexation treaty he was made a baron and later served as an advisor to the Governor-General's Central Council and as an auditor of the Joseon Industrial Bank. He was later listed among pro-Japanese collaborators in several government and civic investigations.
He died on January 20, 1920.
