Park I-ryong (朴以龍, pen name Hakchon) was an official of the Chungju Park who passed the civil examination in 1576. When the Imjin War broke out he is said to have given up his household wealth to raise about 500 volunteers who fought around Gimcheon and Andong. Wounded, he took up the post of magistrate of Neungseong in 1593 and died of the aftereffects; he was posthumously named Vice Minister of Personnel. His tomb and stele stand near Jikjisa in Gimcheon, and his descendants are known as the Sochon-gong branch.
