Life & career

Park U (朴祐, pen name Yukbong) is presented as the third son of Park Ji-heung of the Chungju Park, an early Joseon official. He was first in the 1507 samasi, passed the 1510 civil examination, and served as Gangwon governor, Inspector-General and governor of Jeonju; his posthumous title is given as Chungnyeol. Brother of Park Sang and father of Chief State Councillor Park Sun, he is said to have been posthumously raised to Chief State Councillor because of his son's standing.
