Yu Il-han (柳一韓, 1895-1971) was the businessman who founded the pharmaceutical company Yuhan Corporation; his clan seat was Jinju (Jinju Ryu clan). He went to the United States at a young age, returned, and founded Yuhan in 1926, and is regarded as having laid foundations for Korea's pharmaceutical and health industry.
He is known for a management philosophy of returning corporate profit to society, and is said to have given a large part of his estate to public purposes after his death. Details and exact dates may differ slightly between sources.
