윤두수 尹斗壽

Life & career
Yun Du-su was a civil official of the mid-Joseon period, with the art name Oeum (梧陰). In 1590 he was enrolled as a second-class Gwangguk merit subject for his role in the Jonggye Byeonmu (correction of the royal genealogy). He was active as a leading figure of the Westerners (Seoin) faction.
When the Imjin War broke out, he accompanied King Seonjo and worked to overcome the national crisis, and after serving as Right and Left State Councillor, he rose to Chief State Councillor. He compiled works including the literary collection Oeum Yugo, as well as Gijaji and Pyeongyangji.
Descendants
A prestigious family of the Haepyeong Yun clan, whose descendants include Yun Chi-ho, Yun Chi-yeong, and President Yun Bo-seon.
