Life & career

Kim Ho-gyu (1911-1961), registered in Insa-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, was the grandson of Kim Seong-geun, a titled member of the Korean nobility (Joseon gwijok) created under Japanese rule. He inherited his grandfather's viscount (jajak) title on 27 December 1919, though the succession was clouded by adoption-related lawsuits into the 1930s.

After liberation he was indicted by the Special Committee for the Investigation of Anti-National Activities (Banminteuwi), and he is listed as a pro-Japanese collaborator for inheriting the title.
