Founder of the Janggun-gong branch
| Era | 고려 목종 |
| Clan | 경주 김씨 |
Kim Sun-ung (金順雄) is the founder of the Janggun-gong branch (將軍公派) of the Gyeongju Kim clan. He is said to have been a general (大將軍) around the reign of King Mokjong in early Goryeo, and is also held by some to descend from Silla's King Wonseong (元聖王). The later Gyerim-gun branch (鷄林君派) and others descend from this line.
His descendant Kim Gyun is said to have become a founding meritorious subject of the Joseon dynasty, rising to the post of Left State Councillor and being enfeoffed as Prince Gyerim, from whose line the Gyerim-gun branch of the Gyeongju Kim clan is said to descend.
