Yi Jong-hun, known by his Cheondoism religious name Jeongam, was the oldest of the 33 National Representatives who signed the March First Declaration of Independence in 1919. He had joined the Donghak faith in 1893 and fought the following year alongside Son Byeong-hui in the Donghak Peasant Revolution's northern forces.
He was imprisoned for his role in the 1919 movement, and in 1962 was posthumously awarded the Order of Merit for National Foundation, Presidential Medal.
