Early Joseon civil official who served as Chief State Councillor during King Seongjong's reign

Yi Geuk-bae was a civil official of the early Joseon period, with the courtesy name Gyeombo (謙甫). For his merit in supporting the accession of King Sejo, he was enrolled as a Chuchung Jwaik merit subject, and held key posts such as Governor of Pyeongan Province and Minister of War.
During the reign of King Seongjong, he served as Right State Councillor and rose to Chief State Councillor in 1493, and was enfeoffed as Prince Gwangneung. He was regarded as an honest and prudent minister, and his posthumous title was Ikpyeong (翼平).
