Yi Nae-su (李來修, 1860–1933), courtesy name Wonbaek and pen name Yangeun, was a Confucian scholar of the Jeonju Yi clan from Nonsan, South Chungcheong Province. After the March First Movement of 1919, he signed the Paris Petition (Pari-jangseo), in which 137 Confucian literati led by Gwak Jong-seok and Kim Bok-han appealed to the Paris Peace Conference for Korean independence, and was arrested on August 2, 1919, serving a month in Gongju Prison.
He went on to raise funds for the independence movement over more than five years, and around May 1921 joined the secret organization Joseon Dokripdan (Korean Independence Group), using the home of Song Jong-bin in Duma-myeon, Nonsan as a base and dispatching operatives to various regions to collect funds, taking a leading role in the group's activities.
