Yi Ui-bang (李義方, d. 1174) was a leader of the military coup in Goryeo. The Wikipedia article on the Jeonju Yi clan lists him in the clan's lineage.
He was killed in 1174. Afterwards, his younger brother Yi Rin retired to Jeonju.
Yi Rin's son was Yi Yang-mu, the 17th-generation general. The generations from the founder Yi Han to Yi Yang-mu are called the Seonwon Seongye (pre-royal lineage), so Yi Ui-bang and his brother belong to the final part of the line that led to the Joseon royal house.
After Yi Ui-bang was killed in 1174, his brother Yi Rin retired to Jeonju. Yi Rin's son, Yi Yang-mu, was the 17th and last generation of the Seonwon Seongye. The Seonwon Segye, or royal line, begins with the 18th generation, Yi An-sa (Mokjo).
This entry is based on the Wikipedia article on the Jeonju Yi clan. His birth year was not confirmed.
The location of his grave was not confirmed in this research.
The line of his brother Yi Rin continued through Yi Yang-mu and Mokjo, Yi An-sa, to the Joseon royal house.
