Revered ancestor of the Yeonghae Park clan; Goryeo Minister of Law (Jeonbeop Panseo)
| Era | 고려 |

Bak Myeong-cheon (朴命天) is the Goryeo official the Yeonghae Park clan reveres as its mid-founding ancestor. Namuwiki and general introductions list him under founder Bak Je-sang, and one blog drawing on clan-association material says he served as Jeonbeop Panseo (Minister of Law) in Goryeo and was enfeoffed as Lord of Yewon.
His dates, active period and family could not be confirmed in public sources. Some write-ups call him a 26th-generation descendant of Bak Je-sang or say he escorted Goryeo's Taejo, but no supporting source was found, so these are not stated as fact here.
One point invites confusion. The Encyclopedia of Korean Culture entry for Park Won-gye (朴元桂) also says he served as Jeonbeop Panseo, but Park Won-gye (1282-1349) was a late-Goryeo official and a different person from the mid-founder. For details on the mid-founder, please consult the genealogy materials of the Yeonghae Park Daejonghoe.
Park Myeong-cheon and Park Won-gye are both said to have served as Jeonbeop Panseo but were different men. Park Won-gye is recorded in the Encyclopedia of Korean Culture as an exam graduate of 1301, while Park Myeong-cheon is the mid-founder in clan-association material.
