Park Si-haeng was an early Joseon official, son of Park Jung-sin. According to the Digital Gangneung Culture Encyclopedia his mother was a daughter of Nam Mae of the Yeongyang Nam clan, and his elder brothers were Si-won, Si-chang and Si-hyeong. He passed the licentiate examination in 1468 and, the next year, a special examination, rising to Director of the Court of Music (Jangagwon). The Moseonjae entry instead lists Hongmungwan collator, Royal Secretary, Vice-Director and Dean of the Confucian Academy, posthumously Minister of Personnel, so the two sources differ in titles.
A tradition says that in youth he loved a Gangneung entertainer named Okbanju and rode up to the governor when he demanded her service; the governor set him a poem on three given rhymes, and Park's verse likened her to a pearl on a jade tray, so that the governor praised him and sent her back. This is a tale and not a firm record.
His son was Park Gong-dal, a Gimyo scholar and one of the twelve local worthies of Gangneung. He is enshrined at Moseonjae and has a separate tomb-stele entry. His birth and death years and tomb were not confirmed.
His son Park Gong-dal (1470-1552) was nominated in the 1519 Hyeollyang examination: Park Gong-dal.
His father was Park Jung-sin; his brothers Park Si-hyeong and Park Si-mun passed the civil examination.
Not confirmed (a separate tomb-stele entry exists).
