Mid-founder of the Honam branch; Minister of Military Affairs

Yi Gwang-gyeong is presented as mid-founder of the Honam branch of the Cheongan Yi clan and a Joseon Minister of Military Affairs. The Yangsan encyclopedia makes him the son of Yi Han-beon, while Chungcheong Ilbo says he was military commander of Jeolla and Chungcheong and Minister of Military Affairs, dating him '1414'.
Namu Wiki points out that the gap of about 120 years between Yi Han-beon and Yi Gwang-gyeong makes a father-son relation implausible; if Han-beon lived under Chungnyeol to Gongmin, a gap to 1414 is also large. This entry therefore does not assert the filiation and says only that he is the Honam branch's mid-founder.
His hanja, life dates and the period of his ministry were not verified in historical records or checked against lists of Joseon ministers, so treat it as what the lineage reports.
He is described as Yi Han-beon's son, but the chronological gap makes this doubtful.
