Life & career

Bae Jeup (pen name Myeongam) passed the military examination in 1590 and fought in the Imjin War; in 1597 he is said to have died of an enemy shot near Noryang. He was posthumously raised to Vice Minister of War and is known as the settling ancestor at Myeonggok, Deokgok-myeon, Goryeong.
