Life & career

Bae Myeong-sun (1597-1636) passed the military examination in 1624 and escorted King Injo to Ganghwa during the First Manchu invasion. In the Second he is said to have urged battle at Namhansanseong, and after winning a clash at Cheollyeong he fell to an ambush. He was posthumously made Minister of War.
