Life & career

Bae Si-ryang (1604-1657), son of Bae Heung-rip, served as magistrate of Sukcheon and Yangju and became a Provincial Army Commander in 1645, dying of illness in office. He served under the Left Gyeongsang army commander during the Second Manchu invasion.
