Kim Gwang-chu (1899–1924) led a strike unit of the Chamuibu (Righteous Administration Corps), a Korean armed resistance organization in Manchuria. Together with Bak Hui-gwang and Kim Byeong-hyeon he formed a three-man assassination team known as the "Three Warriors," targeting pro-Japanese collaborators and raising funds for the independence movement. On June 7, 1924, while leaving the Geumjeonggwan restaurant after collecting funds, the group was discovered by Chinese authorities; his two companions were arrested on the spot, but Kim escaped.
He went into hiding with the help of local Koreans and continued raising funds, but an informer betrayed him, and on June 15 he was surrounded by Japanese consular police. He died in a shootout at the age of 25.
